Music Generation Roscommon
Ellen Glennon first encountered music at age 6, training in classical piano and traditional piano accordion. Her performance music career now spans more than 30 years, including through her local Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann branch, as a choir accompanist, and nationally and internationally as a member of the band Sín É. She has won numerous county and provincial titles at Feiseanna and Fleadh Ceoil na hÉireann, including an All-Ireland title on piano accordion. Ellen has been a professional music educator all of her professional life to date, having taught music at all levels and in all contexts and genres. Most recently she held the role of Tutor at Mullingar Training Development Agency where she delivered instrumental tuition in drums, bass, guitar, vocals and QQI awards in music, sound engineering and general learning. Previously she lectured in Music Appreciation in Athlone IT. Ellen holds a BMus and a Higher National Diploma in Education from UCC. She also has the Teastas i dTeagasc Ceolta Tíre from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
