Marty Ryan is a professional musician, music education expert and researcher originally from Limerick City. Marty has released numerous studio albums and toured the world with his musical outfits Anna’s Anchor and The Winter Passing. While pursuing music professionally, Marty had also worked as a musician educator with Music Generation Clare. Since this period, Marty has gone on to become a PhD. candidate at Kent State University in Ohio while working as a graduate assistant at the college. Marty's research focuses on popular music education and songwriting teaching. Having returned to Ireland, Marty is currently working as MDO with Music Generation Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and is excited to bring his global expertise to the area and facilitate the enrichment of young people's lives through music.

Music Generation dlr (Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown) is managed by dlr Music Education Partnership, led by Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board in partnership with dlr County Council, TUSLA, Southside Partnership dlr, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Blackrock Education Centre, IADT, UCD and Crosscare.
