Music Generation dlr: Current programmes
Music Generation dlr runs a variety of programmes including:
An introduction to performance music through singing, percussion and movement in early years settings and libraries throughout the county. Suitable for ages 0-5 years.
Group performance music tuition in primary school settings throughout the county. Instruments available for tuition are ukulele, guitar, violin, cello and percussion. Suitable for ages 5-12 years.
The development of performance music education for children and young people with additional needs. For 2018/2019 Music Generation dlr is working in three settings with children and young people from 5-14 years of age.
A programme of music performance and band development for young people from 12-18 years of age. The programme encompasses performance, song writing, music production and recording and is available in a number of hubs throughout the county from January 2019.
Workshops and performances in schools and libraries throughout Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown to promote and develop an interest in music performance with children and young people aged 0-18 throughout the county.
