Music Generation dlr runs a variety of programmes including:

Exploration

Exploration

An introduction to performance music through singing, percussion and movement in early years settings and libraries throughout the county.

Adventure

Adventure

Group performance music tuition in primary school settings throughout the county. Instruments available for tuition are ukulele, guitar, violin, cello and percussion.

Sojurn

Sojurn

The development of performance music education for children and young people with additional needs. For 2018/2019 Music Generation dlr is working in three settings with children and young people from 5-14 years of age.

Quest

Quest

A programme of music performance and band development for young people from 12-18 years of age. The programme encompasses performance, song writing, music production and recording and is available in a number of hubs throughout the county from January 2019.

Voyage

Voyage

Workshops and performances in schools and libraries throughout Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown to promote and develop an interest in music performance with children and young people throughout the county.

Music Generation dlr (Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown) is managed by dlr Music Education Partnership, led by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in partnership with Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board, TUSLA, Southside Partnership dlr, Royal Irish Academy of Music, Blackrock Education Centre, IADT, UCD and Crosscare.
