Music Generation Sligo runs a variety of programmes and tuition including:
Discovering Music, Early Years
An introductory access programme to provide young children with an introduction to the world of music in childcare, and primary school/junior class settings.
Discovering & Performing Music, Primary and Post Primary Level
Whole-class instrumental and vocal tuition programme for primary schools from 3rd - 6th class, introducing children and young people to reading and performing music. Post-primary schools have the option to explore other modules such as songwriting, recording and music technology.
Diverse and fun-filled programmes of activity including vocal and instrumental tuition, rock, pop, composition and performance.
A range of vocal and instrumental group classes and performing ensembles across music genres at five tuition centres in County Sligo – Grange, Easkey, Ballymote, Gurteen and Sligo Town.
Performance, Masterclasses and Composition
Project-focused school and community programmes offering opportunities for ambitious live performances and advanced tuition.
Con Tutti SEN Programme
A music education, research and training programme in partnership with the Centre for Special Educational Needs Inclusion & Diversity (CSENID), St Angela’s College, Sligo.
Tuned In! Chamber Music Festival
The Tuned In Youth Programme is a new short intensive chamber music experience curated by Music Generation Sligo for students and their tutors, combining masterclasses and performances as part of the annual Sligo International Chamber Music Festival.
50/50 Instrument Bank
A county-wide Instrument Bank scheme creating access to high-quality instruments for the next generation of young musicians.
