Teaching Hours in Clarinet at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama

The Conservatory of Music and Drama at Dublin Institution of Technology is seeking to appoint an assistant lecturer (hourly paid, fixed term) in Clarinet.

The candidate will deliver modules in Clarinet Performance and Pedagogy on undergraduate programmes in the Conservatory, as well as teaching junior music students. The candidate is required to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and experience of clarinet performance studies (in solo,chamber music and orchestral contexts) and clarinet pedagogical training.
Requirements/Qualifictions
Essential:
A first or second class honours degree in music from a recognised degree awarding authority or an approved equivalent qualification.
Desirable:
A postgraduate qualification in music performance and/or music pedagogy
Experience of clarinet teaching at junior, undergraduate and postgraduate level
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of clairent performance and pedagogy in solo, chamber and orchestral contexts.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of clarinet pedagogical training
Knowledge of current practice in music education.
Self motivated, good interpersonal skills, reliable and able to work on own initative
