Music Generation Annual Report 2024
We are excited to present the Music Generation Annual Report for 2024. In 2024, we proudly reached 10.9% of children and young people in Ireland.
Music Generation Dublin City is thrilled to announce that a percentage of profits from Bohemian Football Club’s (Bohemian FC) new 2025 FAI Cup jerseys - created in partnership with rock band Oasis will go toward supporting Music Generation programmes in regions across Ireland.
Congratulations to Music Generation Dublin City and City of Dublin ETB! We are delighted to see your incredible work supported through this collaboration with Bohemian Football Club and Oasis.
All profits from the exclusive shirt will be split between Bohemian FC, Music Generation Dublin City and Irish Community Care Manchester. Fifty percent (50%) of the profits will be used by Bohemian FC to continue the club’s pioneering work across football and community initiatives.
The remaining fifty percent (50%) will be divided equally, with 25% directed to six Music Generation areas (Mayo, Dublin City, Cork City, Limerick City, Laois, and Waterford) and through Music Generation Dublin City; supporting access to music education for children and young people.
25% will be allocated to Irish Community Care Manchester (ICCM), in recognition of their work supporting the Irish community in Manchester.
No proceeds will go to Oasis for their partnership and support in this shirt.
Led by Music Generation Dublin City; a locally-managed national programme funded by City of Dublin ETB in partnership with Dublin City Council and local music education providers, Each national area programme provides high-quality performance music education opportunities to children and young people, across nearly every county in Ireland.
This support will empower local Music Generation partnerships and communities to create access to music education for children and young people who need it most. It will help develop and expand access to musical instruments and instrument libraries. It will also broaden access to music programmes for young people and create more opportunities for them to play and participate in music they enjoy.
Music Generation believes in music as a powerful tool for social inclusion and aims to reach children and young people who face greater barriers to participate in music.
Kieran McGuinness, representative of Music Generation Dublin City, shared:
"Music Generation Dublin City are proud and excited to be a beneficiary from this fantastic project, and continue our mission to empower children and young people through access to music. We have worked with Bohemian FC for several years and want to pay a special thanks to Oasis. The opportunity to support young musicians will ensure we get close to our goal of making sure that everyone in Ireland, whatever their background, gets access to music... and just maybe we can help develop the next Oasis!"
The new jersey features the iconic Oasis logo in the famous blue tones of Dublin City, complemented by a retro 90s aesthetic with sublimated chevron patterns, and white and blue collar and sleeve trims.
Manufactured by O’Neill’s Sportswear Ireland and designed in-house by Bohemian FC in collaboration with Oasis, the exclusive shirt is available now for order at www.oasis-bohemianfc.com.
