Music Generation Offaly launch Clara Bog Soundwalk
Young musicians from Music Generation Offaly have created a unique geo-located soundwalk for the Clara Bog Boardwalk.
The new Music Educators Orchestra is holding a free Open Day from 1-4pm on Sunday 11thSeptember in St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra.The Open Day is an opportunity for musicians and music educators to experience orchestral playing in a relaxed and creative environment.
It will involve playing pieces to suit all instruments and all abilities as well as composing your own piece of music with the full orchestra. A short performance at the end of the day will be recorded and a copy will be sent to each player.
The Music Educators Orchestrais new group that is open to people from all musical backgrounds, of all abilities, and on any instrument. The goal of the orchestra is to provide a creative outlet for people working in music education and related fields. It offers members the opportunity to keep up their musical skills, develop new ones and to bring new ideas to their work.
