Young Ambassadors celebrate a decade of Music Generation at The Ireland Funds Worldwide Conference 2022 with Sharon Shannon and Adam Clayton.
Music Generation South Dublin is pleased to announce the launch of its Instrument Purchase Scheme to enable instrument purchase for ensembles, school bands, youth groups/clubs, music schools, youth bands etc in South Dublin County. This programme has been designed to support access for children and young people to music instrumental tuition in their local area.
Applicant groups must show evidence of need for the instruments they wish to purchase, how young people will use them, how they will provide young people with support for learning on these instruments and how they will manage and maintain the instruments over time. Children and young people using the instruments must be under 18 years of age. Instruments can be purchased for participation in any music genre, from traditional music, rock, pop, world, classical etc.
Music Generation South Dublin will assess applications and will provide 75% of the musical instruments’ purchase cost. Applicant organisations must provide 25% of the cost on a match funding basis to avail of the Award. The total amount of the fund is €30,000. The maximum award that can be made to any applicant is €3000.
Applications for the Instrument Purchase Scheme will be awarded as part of an independently-evaluated competitive process. The programme has a limited fund available.
The Music Generation South Dublin Instrument Purchase Scheme is managed by South Dublin Arts Office on behalf of Music Generation South Dublin.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 7th November, 2014
