Music Generation Celebrates St Patrick's Festival Weekend
Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona dhaoibh! Celebrate St. Patrick's Festival weekend with Music Generation.
Written in six movements by five local teenagers, with the help of acclaimed Belfast composer Brian Irvine, the work is inspired by the mystery and wonders of space. Over 200 musicians and singers from an extended Sligo Academy of Music Orchestra and the newly formed Music Generation Sligo Youth Choir will perform the new composition during the festival.
A novel feature of the work will be the imagery and film inserts provided by local production company Lough Bo Films.
This premiere performance will take place on Sunday the 10th of November at 2.00pm at the Hawk's Well Theatre, Sligo. Tickets are €5.00, under 12 year old children enter free. Book now to avoid disappointment! Bookings can be made here.
