Music Generation is pleased to announce that it has recently been shortlisted for an Allianz Business to Arts Award in the category of ‘Best Use of Creativity in the Community’. This year’s awards will be presented by President Mary McAleese on Monday 5 September at Dublin Castle.
“We are delighted that Music Generation is among the applications that have been shortlisted for this prestigious national award”, said Rosaleen Molloy, Director, Music Generation. “It provides well deserved acknowledgement and recognition for our donors - U2 and The Ireland Funds, for Music Generation’s achievements since our launch in January of this year and for the music education movement in Ireland.”
Now in its 20th year, the Allianz Business to Arts Awards seek to embrace and recognise examples of arts and business organisations working together in areas such as mentoring, training, staff development, commissioning artists and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. As well as arts sponsorship, the Awards also recognise the importance that individuals play in promoting and achieving excellence in partnerships between the business and arts communities.
