RTÉ One Late Late Toy Show Friday November 30th 9.30pm, featuring Kilocraun Primary School, Co. Mayo
This coming Friday night November 30th, all 18 pupils from Killocraun Primary School (a small two-teacher school, nestled under the shadow of Nephin, Co. Mayo) will make their television debut as The Kilocraun Drummers on one of the world's most coveted TV slots of all – the annual RTÉ Late Late Toy Show!
Kilocraun Primary School is one the many schools in Co. Mayo currently participating in Music Generation Mayo. All 18 pupils in the school from infants to sixth class have been enjoying an exciting drumming programme with tutor Anthony McNamee over the past few months.
Principal Catherine Canny took the initiative earlier this year to send on some footage of The Kilocraun Drummers when the national call was made by the Late Late Show for entries and, following a hugely competitive process, this inspirational drumming ensemble was selected for the 2012 show!
Tune in to RTÉ One at 9.30pm this Friday night to support this ‘happening’ ensemble – a performance not to be missed!
