On Sunday, March 16th 21:30, TG4 will premiere Geantraí- An Ghlúin Úr. Filmed during Galway Tradfest, featuring over 200 young musicians

Led by Choral Music Education Practitioners Mary Amond O’Brien (Artistic Director of Aspiro & RTÉ Cór na nÓg) and Niall Crowley (Artistic Director of WIT Youth Choir, Waterford Boy Singers and one of the National Choirs of Great Britain), this practical one-day course is open to anyone currently working, or interested in working, with children’s and youth choirs in a range of teaching and learning environments. Come along to this ‘hands-on’ participatory course which will provide a practical toolkit of supports and resources including:
• Warm-ups and work-outs
• A range of repertoire and resources (including Christmas repertoire!)
• Approaches to teaching and learning in choral music education, (including Koldály)
• Score preparation
• Conducting
Time: 9.30 am – 5.15pm
Fee: €50 per participant (including a tea/coffee/lunch. Fee excludes purchase of music, course participants to order online in advance of the course.) Concession / student rate available - please contact AOIC office for more information.
