Kodály Society of Ireland present a one-day course led by Dr. László Nemes, Director of the Kodály Institute

Saturday 14th May, 10.00am - 4.30pm, St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9

The day will consist of:

• Practical musicianship class
• Demonstration lesson with primary school pupils
• Analysis of teaching methods
• Practical steps for teaching part-singing
• Panel discussion/debate with guest speakers: 'Are specialist music teachers a help or a hindrance in primary schools?'

Conducting Workshops from 11-15 July
Presented by IAYO in conjunction with RIAM to run alongside their Summer Orchestra Academy. Deadline for aookications is Friday 13th May.

Still recruiting...
ConCorda Chamber Music Course, in Kilkenny College from 15-23 August. For advanced and senior string players aged 14 to 21.

DYO, Aravon Chamber Music Courses in June & July. For Junior and senior players covering string, percussion and wind.

RIAM, Orchestral Manoveurs from 11-15 July. For players at grade 6 and upwards aged from 14 to 20 in this, RIAM's first Summer course for Orchestra.

Ceol na Mara first week of August. From junior through to adult and intermediate to advanced. All are welcome.

Summer Music in Galway first two weeks in August. All ages welcome for orchestral instruments and piano.

Later in the year and in a different part of Ireland than previously held (now County Laois)
IAYO - National Chamber Music Workshop from 10-11 September. For strings, woodwind and brass.

Irish Youth Choir

Irish Youth Choir Residential will be at University of Limerick 25^th June to 3^rd July. Programme includes three concerts at the newly opened Triskel Christchurch on July 1^st, at St Mary’s, Limerick on July 2^nd and at St. Patrick’s, Dublin on July 3^rd. Conductor Greg Beardsell.
