Music Generation Annual Report 2025
We are excited to present the Music Generation Annual Report for 2025. In 2024, we proudly reached 10% of children and young people in Ireland.
Explore your creativity with Music Generation on Saturday 6th June 2026 for Cruinniú na nÓg!
Cruinniú na nÓg is Ireland’s national day of free creative activity for children and young people. From the Aran Islands to the east coast and everywhere in between, there is something for everyone this Cruinniú na nÓg.
Music Generation Galway County will host a day of music workshops and consultation sessions at Áras Éanna on Inis Oírr. Located on the smallest of the Aran Islands, Áras Éanna is Europe's most westerly Arts Centre. Children and young people on the island can help shape a new Music Hub opening in September.
Further south, Music Generation Cork City brings Rock the Block to Carnegie Courtyard for an afternoon of rock, pop, trad and rap. On the east coast, young musicians and bands from Music Generation Fingal will take over Swords Castle for We Own The Castle. This free music festival features live performances, workshops and poetry sessions. Here are just some of the other events taking place across the Music Generation Network:
