Music Generation Annual Report 2025
We are excited to present the Music Generation Annual Report for 2025. In 2024, we proudly reached 10% of children and young people in Ireland.
A unique and exquisite Donegal-inspired orchestral and storytelling adaptation of a favourite Oscar Wilde story.
The Happy Prince, retold by Little John Nee with a musical score composed and conducted by Vincent Kennedy is directed by Barrabas Theatre Company’s Raymond Keane. The music is played by the Donegal Music Education Partnership’s Youth Orchestra and sung by their Donegal Youth Choir. A family show, suitable for ages from 5+, it is 50 minutes in duration, and explores the timeless themes of love, friendship and compassion.
This beautiful performance of music, song and storytelling has its premiere performance in An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny, on Saturday 14 April at 7pm with a matinee performance on Sunday 15 at 3pm, before moving to the Abbey Centre, Ballyshannon, on Saturday 21 April at 3pm and 7pm.
Tickets are priced at €10 for adults and €5 for children with a €25 family ticket. (2 adults and 2 children) and are available at An Grianán Theatre’s box office on (074) 91 20777.
This production has been commissioned by the Donegal County Council’s Public Art Office, produced by An Grianán Theatre, and supported by the Donegal VEC Music Education Partnership. As one of the special Donegal Gathering 2012 eve the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny are offering a special Family Culture and Outdoors Weekend Package from 13 – 15 April including a visit to Glenveagh National Park.
