The Composer in Residence, Youth Music, will be a part-time residency position (20 hr week, 5 hours of which is for the Composer’s own work development). As part of this Residency, the successful applicant will be asked to stimulate greater awareness of the art of creative composition as well as facilitating opportunities for young people to engage with composition and performance. The composer will be based in both classroom and community settings (workshops, master classes, mentoring and performances) and an ability to mentor must be demonstrated. A contract for services fee of €12,000 inclusive of travel and expenses is offered for a 20 week period envisaged to commence in September 2013.
