Music Generation Carlow would like to work in partnership with a choral expert/organisation to design and implement the next stage in the development of the Encore choral programme. This opportunity will involve a three pronged approach:
1. From September 2014 Music Generation Carlow would like to promote a cluster of countywide community choirs to give the children who are participating at primary level a chance to progress from the classroom singing scheme. These choirs will be situated in Borris and Tullow initially and operate on a weekly basis for the academic year.
2. Music Generation Carlow would also like to work in partnership with this expert/organisation to develop a CPD programme for MGC choral practitioners. This would include team teaching opportunities, training and observation.
3. Music Generation Carlow would also like to work in partnership with this expert/organisation to lead and facilitate the evolution of a long term, outstanding, whole county choral strategy.
Music Generation Carlow recognises the extraordinary level of existing choral provision throughout the county and this exciting partnership opportunity is provided not to replace existing provision but to enhance, add value and support synergies between MGC and existing providers.
Music Generation Carlow is calling for proposals to meet the above opportunity. The proposal should be maximum 1000 words with an income and expenditure budget attached and be sent by email to pphelan@kcetb.ie. Shortlisting may apply. Closing date for proposals is May 9th at 12 noon. The programme is to commence in September 2014.
