Summer marks the end of music lessons and the beginning of holidays which can mean no practice... Keep the cobwebs from instruments this summer with BANDCamp!
Cork Summer BANDCamp invites young musicians of all ages and abilities to take part in four fun packed days of creative music making. Participants will explore music through a series of workshops designed and delivered by an enthusiastic team of professional music tutors.
These workshops include:
- Ensemble music making in a variety of genres including New Orleans Brass Group, Chamber Flute groups and Percussion Trios.
- SoundFUN
- Rhythm & Percussion
- Composing to animation / film
- Songwriting through RAP music
- Group Instrumental Masterclasses
- Large ensemble work - Beginner and Youth Concert Band
Participants must play one of the following:
Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, Cornet, Eb Tenor Horn, Baritone, Trombone, Tuba or Percussion (Kit or Tuned).
Ages: 9 - 16 years
Level: Beginner - Grade 5
Date: August 5th - 8th (inclusive)
Time: 11am - 3pm daily commitment
Venue: Togher Girls National School, Cork City.
Cost: €40
