For this year's Culture Night, Music Generation Limerick City is partnering with Dance Limerick, Limerick Youth Theatre and the Fresh Film Festival for a spectacular evening at John’s Square.
John's Square will be alive with activity as the residents of Limerick’s Cultural Quarter celebrate with a host of events for the public to enjoy. Join them for live music, dance and film screenings on John’s Square where the Music Generation Express Bus will be setting down, setting up and in full swing.

John’s Square programme for the evening:
- 5.30pm: The Music Generation bus will be in John’s Square showcasing the first fruits of Music Generation’s Limerick Voices project with young songwriters and rappers from across the city performing their own works collaborating with the other music, dance, film and drama events taking place.
- 6.30pm: Limerick Youth Dance performs new choreography by Angie Smalis accompanied by members of Music Generation.
- 7pm: Fresh Film Festival will screen two selections of award-winning short films by filmmakers aged 7-18 years. Fresh Film Festival is a national film festival dedicated to encouraging young people to make films and to supporting the next generation of Irish filmmakers.
- 7.30pm: A special ‘Walls of Limerick’ by Scoil Uí Ruairc (as 5.30pm), accompanied by the young Hip-hop stars of Music Generation.
- 8.30pm: Fresh Film Festival short film screenings (as 7pm)
- 9pm: Limerick Youth Theatre presents a showcase of their work.
