Performance of Project Maths: Exploring the parallels between maths and music

Music Generation Wicklow is working on the M n’ M Suite, a new composition by Andrew Synnott and a group of young people exploring the parallels between maths and music for the Project Maths Conference at NUI Maynooth on Friday the 15th of November.

Andrew Synnott has worked with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Opera Ireland and Opera Theatre Company, he is a founder and artistic director of the Crash Ensemble, and his compositions have been performed world-wide.

The composition on Project Maths includes 40 students in the complete programme all playing instruments – guitars, violins, keyboard, drums, electric guitar, glockenspeels, recorders, double bass, xylophone and voice. Music Generation Wicklow Muscian Tutors will also join the stage playing the violin, guitar and cello.
