Outstanding Young Musicians Club perform at Gala Concert & Awards Ceremony

Carlow musicians club
Music Generation Carlow has awarded a scholarship to 12 exceptional young musicians, to help defray the costs of accessing recognised expert music tuition. The scholarship students, which will form Music Generation Carlow’s Outstanding Young Musicians Club, were selected during the summer and played their first performance at Music Generation Carlow’s Gala Concert and Awards Ceremony in The Lord Bagenal Hotel on 10th September.

Music Generation Carlow is also offering this team of young musicians the opportunity to work in master class settings on a monthly basis with visiting musicians such as the Robinson Panoramic Quartet and composer Linda Buckley, who will also be assisting Music Generation Carlow’s Young Composers Club students. Music Generation Carlow’s Outstanding Young Musicians Club will work in partnership with the Young Composers Club to perform new works.

Music Generation Carlow is delighted to be supporting these young budding musicians as they learn new music skills and gain valuable music performance experience.

A Young Musicians Bursary for students 10 to 18 years of age is also included in Music Generation Carlow's programme. These bursaries will be awarded to students who may want to progress from group tuition schemes to an individual lesson pathway or to students who may find themselves in a position where they cannot continue with lessons due to cost. All genres of music will be included in this scheme.
