Music Generation Wicklow present a performance of Vanished Lands in the main foyer of the National Concert Hall on Tuesday 14th October at the Music Generation National Conference 2014. Some 20 young musicians from Music Generation Wicklow will entertain delegates of the Conference with this new commission work, created by composer Neil Martin. Vanished Lands is a traditional piece arranged specifically for two groups of young people – Club Ceoil in Blessington and Music Under the Mountains, Hollywood, who will be performing on the day.
Music Generation, in association with the National Concert Hall and Local Music Education Partnerships, will present Performance, Participation and Partnership: Looking to the Future – a National Music Education Conference and Gala Concert on October 13th and 14th, 2014. Taking place at the National Concert Hall, this exciting two-day event will feature some of the groundbreaking work happening in music education throughout the country through Music Generation. President Michael D. Higgins will be special guest of honour at the Music Generation Gala Concert, which takes place at 7.30pm, Monday 13th October.
