A snapshot into Music Generation Mayo's 'Céilí Ukulele' programme, for young musicians in 4th to 6th class at primary school level. Led by musicians Jamie Mulrooney and Philip Cassidy, and featuring violin by Kevin Donnellan, the focus of the programme is to impart a knowledge of basic and more advanced musical principles while instilling a joy and passion for performing music individually and with peers. It is designed to enhance and add value to the existing curriculum provision in primary schools and is currently operating in 12 primary schools in the Castlebar and Ballina urban areas.
