Since 2013 Music Generation Mayo has offered annual financial assistance in the form of a bursary scheme to exceptional music students aged 10-18 years, residing in Co. Mayo. Bursaries are made available to defray the costs of accessing recognised expert music tuition or purchasing a musical instrument.
This scheme is designed to allow gifted young musicians to further advance their skills or upgrade to a professional instrument.
Since 2013, 32 young musicians from throughout Co. Mayo were awarded a combined total of €47,500 in financial assistance through this scheme, co-funded by their parents and Music Generation Mayo, allowing them to progress further with their musical studies.
Applications are now open for 2015. This year the application process is entirely online at the links below. Full guidelines for applications are available to download online. The deadline for applications is 12pm on Tuesday 27 October 2015. Auditions will take place on a Saturday in November.
