Music Generation Limerick City: New Co-ordinator Announced

Boris Hunka been announced as Co-ordinator of Music Generation Limerick City.

Boris has enjoyed a varied career as musician, producer, administrator and teacher across a range of musical styles. Following a Music Degree at York, he started his career in London, running large scale arts and festival projects, working with artists including Courtney Pine, Mika and Sir George Martin at events including the Barbados Jazz, South Bank and the Larmer Tree festivals, the MOBO awards and the Live 8 concerts.

He moved to Ireland in 2007 and has since held senior roles at the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Shannon International Music Festival, Limerick City Africa Day, Feile Eile and the Percussion Studio. He has also worked on projects for a range of festivals, including the Electric Picnic, Iniscealtra, Terryglass and Kinsale Arts Week. As a teacher and workshop leader he has recently worked with the National Children’s Choir, the ICO’s Sing Out with Strings project, Music Factory, Temple Bar Cultural Trust and the Ark Centre for Children, as well as numerous visits to schools and festivals and individual tuition. He continues to perform as multi-instrumentalist in a rage of genres.
