Music Generation Laois got the New Year off to a great start with the launch of a whole class string programme on Tuesday 6th of January.
Scoil Bhride Rathdowney and Scoil Bhride Knockmay, Portlaoise, are already on board with over 167 children receiving violin tuition.The string programme is being led by Dorothy Conaghan, who has worked extensively in the area of group strings tuition, both in Ireland and abroad. She also compiled the recent Primary String Project 2007 - 2013 report for the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
This is an exciting new departure for Music Generation Laois, where local string tutors are also participating and benefiting from Dorothy’s extensive experience as both a Tutor and Trainer. Music Generation Laois is delivering this programme in association with Laois School of Music.
