Music Generation Carlow: new Aspiro Choir satellite in Bagenalstown

MG Carlow Aspiro
Aspiro Choir, one of Ireland’s leading choirs for young people is setting up its first satellite in Bagenalstown for boys and girls aged 12 to 18, supported by the Arts Council and Music Generation Carlow.

Formed in 1997 by Mary Amond O’Brien, Aspiro has established itself as an ambitious choir offering a musical education of the highest standards for interested young people. Believing in the innate musical potential of all young people, Aspiro prides itself on the fact that no auditions are held for membership of this highly respected choir. The Aspiro Bagenalstown will be led by Mary Minchin who brings with her many years of experience.

To launch this initiative, which will take place weekly in Bagenalstown Family Resource Centre, Aspiro are offering the second of their free taster/demonstration sessions in the resource centre on Friday 25 October from 5pm to 6pm. The weekly sessions will start after the Halloween mid-term from Friday 8 November. For more information contact Mary Minchin on 085-7259161 or log onto the website www.aspirochoir.ie.
