Meet Amy O'Callaghan,
Music Generation Cork City Alumni as part of our Where are they now? series #MusicGenerationJourney

L8 A8861

WhereAreTheyNow? checks in with past participants of Music Generation performance music programmes to hear about their #MusicGenerationJourney and their pursuits as young adults. Many continue to perform, teach, mentor and study music and this is certainly the case for our next Music Generation alumni Amy O'Callaghan.

Amy, a cornet player from Music Generation Cork City and Barrack Street Band, tells us about her experiences with Rebel Brass, opportunities to perform on the Late Late Toy Show, for the President, and the impact these experiences have had on her as a person.

Watch Amy tell her story in the video below (also available on our YouTube channel).

We would like to thank Amy for sharing her #Musicgenerationjourney and we can't wait to see what musical pursuits she takes in the future!

"In 2021 I received a Quercus Performing Arts Scholarship with University College Cork. Because of my Music Generation experience, it bulked up my portfolio. All the workshops, all the tutorship, the teaching - anything that I had in my portfolio was because of Music Generation" Amy O'Callaghan, Music Generation Cork City Alumni
