Donegal native Rosa Flannery joins Music Generation Laois from Donegal Music Education Partnership where she worked as a project Co-ordinator and Music Administrator. She holds a BA and MA in English Literature from Queen’s University Belfast and an MA in Arts Policy and Practice from NUI Galway. Previous roles include working with Galway Arts Festival, Droichead Arts Centre, Tulca Festival of Visual Arts and Nomad Theatre Network, as an Administrator, PR specialist and Tour Manager.

Rosa has a wealth of teaching experience, having worked with children and young people for a number of years. She played cello for many years with the County Donegal Youth Orchestra, and also plays traditional fiddle. Her NUI Galway MA thesis focused on the development of the Donegal Fiddle Tradition, past and present.Recent music education programmes Rosa has been involved with include North Wind Blows - a large scale cross-border intergenerational project managed by Donegal Music Education Partnership, the Errigal Groove Orchestra County Donegal Youth Orchestra.

Music Generation Laois is managed by Laois Music Education Partnership, led by Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board and supported by Laois County Council.
