Calling all Music Makers! We want to hear what music means to you.
We are asking young musicians nationwide to share online what music means to them and their favourite music-making moments.
The Department of Music, UCC and the Society for Music Education in Ireland committee are delighted to announce the programme for the 1st Annual Conference of the Society for Music Education (SMEI) in Ireland on 11-13 November 2011.
The programme features a diverse range of paper, poster and workshop presentations relating to music education from Irish and International researchers and practitioners.
The keynote address will be delivered by internationally renound community musician, Phil Mullen, Goldsmiths’ College, University of London. The programme also features musical performances from local community and school music groups from Cork City.
Rosaleen Molloy is among the conference presenters whose paper will discuss: Philanthropy, Partnership and Participation: Generating and sustaining a national system of performance music education.
