Music Generation Clare / Clare Memory Orchestra Summer School

Music Generation Clare is partnering with the Clare Memory Orchestra to deliver a week-long summer school for 12-17 year old students of violin, fiddle, flute, whistle, oboe, drums, percussion, bodhrán and guitar in Ballyvaughan National School, between July 20th and 24th culminating in performances in St. John the Baptist Church, Ballyvaughan on July 24th, and glór, Ennis, on July 25th.

Tutors for the summer school are Dave Flynn, founder and artistic director; Aoife Ní Bhriain, Aisling Agnew, Etain McCooey, Aidan Dunphy, and conductor Bjorn Bantock.

This summer school forms part of the inaugural Burren Festival of Music and Culture, developed by Dave Flynn & The Clare Memory Orchestra in partnership with Music Generation Clare and kindly supported by The Arts Council to feature traditional, classical and jazz music combined with Burren Cultural activities.

All applications for the very special summer school with the Clare Memory Orchestra in Ballyvaughan July 20th-24th received by Monday June 22nd will be entered into a draw for a place on the school (value €90) – there are two such places to be given away to early applicants.
